Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT): eligibility, calendar and the Bangalore colleges that admit through it

KMAT Karnataka is the entrance test used by the association of private post-graduate colleges in Karnataka for MBA and MCA admissions in their management-quota seats. It is the most common door into Bangalore's private business schools for students who did not take CAT or MAT, and it is open to candidates from any state.
The test is held in several windows across the summer, which makes it a practical second attempt after CAT or Karnataka PGCET results.
Eligibility
A bachelor's degree of at least three years with 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka). Final-year students may apply. For MCA, Mathematics or Statistics at 10+2 or degree level is normally required.

KMAT: common questions
KMAT or PGCET for an MBA in Bangalore?
PGCET fills government-quota MBA seats through KEA at lower fees; KMAT fills the private colleges' own seats. Many students take both. CAT, MAT and CMAT scores are also accepted by most Bangalore B-schools.
