Editorial Policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

This policy explains what Eduvy publishes, where our facts come from, how we date and check them, how AI tools are used, and how to get a mistake corrected. It covers Eduvy News, the college, fee, course and exam pages, and the guides on eduvy.in, run by Eduvy Technologies Private Limited, Bengaluru.

1. What we publish and for whom

We write for students and parents choosing a college in India, starting with Bangalore, and for the colleges and institutions that use Eduvy. We publish:

  • Eduvy News: admission notices, entrance-exam updates, scholarship and fee news, explainers and guidance articles.
  • College pages: courses, fees, hostels, placements, facilities and contact details for each college in our catalog, plus stream, locality and course listings built from them.
  • Exam pages and admission guides: eligibility, the usual calendar and the routes into Bangalore colleges.
  • College Updates: posts written by colleges themselves and reviewed by Eduvy before they are published. They are labelled as coming from the college.

Articles on Eduvy News carry a byline and the dates they were published and last updated. They are currently published under the byline Founder, Eduvy, who is responsible for what they say.

2. Sources we rely on

We take facts from the people who decide them, in this order of preference:

  • The college's or university's own website, prospectus, fee notice or admission brochure, and information the college gives us directly.
  • Admission and examination authorities: the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for KCET and PGCET, COMEDK for COMEDK UGET, the National Testing Agency (NTA) for NEET UG, and the official bodies for other exams we cover.
  • Regulators and approving bodies: AICTE for engineering and management, the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the Bar Council of India (BCI), UGC and the affiliating universities.
  • Government notifications, orders and fee notifications from the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka.

News reports, social media posts and coaching-centre material are used only as leads to an official source, never as the source itself. Where we could not find an official source for a figure, we say so.

3. Dated facts

Fees, cut-offs, seat counts and placement figures change every year. Wherever we publish one, we aim to give the academic year it applies to, the source it came from and the date we last checked it.

A figure we have not been able to verify against an official source is labelled indicative. Indicative fees are a guide to compare colleges with, not a quote: always confirm the current fee with the college before you pay or apply.

4. How college data is collected and corrected

Our college catalog was compiled from publicly available information, such as college and university websites and regulator listings, and is kept up to date by our team and by the colleges themselves.

Each listed college can sign in to its Eduvy dashboard and propose changes to its own profile: courses, fees, facilities, images and contact details. A proposed change is not published straight away; Eduvy reviews it first and approves or rejects it. College Updates go through the same review before they appear on the site.

Anyone can report a wrong fact on a college page in the way described under Corrections below.

5. Use of AI tools

Articles, summaries and parts of college pages may be drafted with the help of AI tools. AI-assisted text is reviewed by the author before publication, and facts in it are checked against the sources in section 2, the same as any other text. The person named in the byline is responsible for the published article, however it was drafted.

Edubro AI, the counselor chat on Eduvy, and the Eduvy AI Board generate answers automatically from our catalog and knowledge base, without a person reviewing each answer. They can be wrong. Treat them as a starting point and confirm anything important with the college or the official authority.

6. Corrections

If you find a mistake, email support@eduvy.in with the page URL and what is wrong (and, if you can, a link to the official source). We review every report, and where the page is wrong we correct it within 5 working days of receiving the report. A corrected article shows its new "Updated" date in the byline.

Colleges can also correct their own profile directly from their Eduvy dashboard, as described in section 4.

7. Independence

Eduvy has commercial relationships with colleges and institutions: some use our software (ERP, HRMS, fee collection, the admissions CRM and placements), and some receive student applications through the Eduvy app. We also work with education-finance partners for loans and EMI plans. These relationships do not change the facts we publish about a college, the order colleges appear in on our listings, or what an article says.

The "Eduvy rating" shown on some college pages, and used to order the rankings page, is a figure held in our catalog rather than a score we calculate from a published method. Because we cannot explain it to the standard this policy sets, we are retiring it. Until it is removed, please do not read the rating, or the rankings order, as our judgement of a college's quality.
