Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Eduvy website (eduvy.in) collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Eduvy is run by Eduvy Technologies Private Limited, Bengaluru. We have written it in plain language and kept it to what the website actually does.

1. Who we are

Eduvy Technologies Private Limited ("Eduvy", "we", "us") operates eduvy.in, including the college catalog, Edubro AI, the Eduvy AI Board, the college and recruiter portals, and the Eduvy News and College Updates pages. Our office is at 54, 3rd Main, Athmavidya Nagar, Kuvempu Layout, Visthar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560077, India. You can reach us at support@eduvy.in or +91 81059 65553.

This policy covers the website. When you apply to a college, pay fees or request a loan through the Eduvy mobile app, the details you submit there are used to process that request, as described in section 4. How we source, check and correct what we publish is set out separately in our Editorial Policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

Student account on the website: your name, email address, phone number and password. Today the website keeps this account, your saved colleges, your compare list, and any college or job applications you fill in on the website in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not sent to our servers, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Book a Demo, Register your institution and college partner forms: your name, institution, designation, email address, phone number, city, the services you are interested in, your message, the page you submitted from, and whether you ticked the box allowing us to call you (we record the wording you agreed to).
Recruiter enquiries: company name, contact name, email address, phone number and hiring requirements.
Edubro AI chat: the messages you type and, if you are viewing a college, that college's name.
Eduvy AI Board: the details you enter to plan an admission (for example budget, marks, preferred courses, colleges and career goals) and the board you build. Boards you save are stored on our servers together with the student id, name and email address held in your browser profile, so you can open them again.
College and admin accounts: login email and password (stored hashed), the profile changes, courses, fees, images and College Updates a college submits, and the staff phone numbers a college registers for WhatsApp posting.
College Updates sent on WhatsApp: when registered college staff send an update to Eduvy's WhatsApp number, we receive the message, any images and the sender's phone number through our messaging provider, Plivo. Messages from numbers a college has not registered are held for review, not published.
Anything you send us by email or phone.

Information collected automatically:

Cookies and local storage used to run the site: a secure, httpOnly login cookie named token for college and admin sign-ins; an admin_token entry in local storage used by older admin screens; and local-storage entries that remember your theme, saved colleges, compare list, AI Board, student profile and the website's demo recruiter session on your device.
Analytics and advertising measurement: Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-T3FGLLNYKL) and the Meta Pixel (ID 1976691996624859) load on every page. They record the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser type and an approximate location derived from your IP address, and they set their own cookies.
Technical logs: our servers record standard request information such as IP address, the page or API requested and the time, for security and troubleshooting.

3. How we use it

To run the website: show colleges, fees and news, keep you signed in, and remember your saved colleges and boards.
To answer your questions with Edubro AI and to build and update your AI Board plan.
To follow up on a demo, sign-up, partnership or recruiter request, including calling you if you ticked the call-permission box.
To publish and moderate college profiles and College Updates. Every update is reviewed by Eduvy before it goes live.
To understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising, through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Colleges you apply to: when you apply through the Eduvy mobile app, the application details and documents you submit are shared with that college so it can process your admission. Payment and loan requests you make in the app go to the payment provider or lending partner you choose.
Eduvy Grow CRM: demo, partnership and institution sign-up requests are passed to Eduvy Grow, the customer-relationship system our team uses to follow up with you. Recruiter enquiries stay on our own servers for our team.
Google (Gemini): Edubro AI chat messages, AI Board instructions, and the text and images of College Updates (for AI drafting and poster reading) are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a reply or draft. Please do not type sensitive personal details such as ID numbers, health information or bank details into Edubro AI.
Google and Meta for analytics and advertising measurement, as described in section 2. Their use of this data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Plivo, which carries WhatsApp messages between colleges and Eduvy.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store and process data for us.
Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of Eduvy.

5. Cookies, local storage and your choices

You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. Clearing local storage signs you out and removes the student account, saved colleges and applications the website keeps on your device. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on and manage Meta ads in your Meta ad preferences.

6. How long we keep it

Data in your browser stays until you clear it.
Demo, partnership and recruiter requests are kept while we are in touch with you and afterwards as a business record, unless you ask us to delete them.
Edubro AI conversations are stored as question-and-answer pairs without your name or account, so we can improve the answers.
Saved AI Boards are kept until you delete them.
College profiles, College Updates and their images are kept while the college's profile is live on Eduvy.
Analytics data is kept by Google and Meta under their retention settings.

7. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law you can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct or update it, to delete it, or to withdraw a consent you gave (for example, permission to call you). Email support@eduvy.in from the address you used, or call +91 81059 65553. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

8. Students under 18

Many of our users are students finishing school. If you are under 18, please use Eduvy with a parent or guardian, and have them fill in any form that asks for contact details. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us personal data without your consent, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, admin passwords are stored hashed, login cookies are httpOnly, and access to stored data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and do not share your login. Because the website's student account lives in your browser, anyone who uses the same browser profile can see it.

10. Grievance Officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can raise any complaint about how we handle your data with our Grievance Officer:
